Ashlyn had her first softball game yesterday. It was actually a preseason game invitation. She hit the ball twice and was walked once. Last year she had a fear of the ball that kept her from trying to hit alot of the time… she seems to have licked that fear! She also pitched the first two innings and did awesome!!! Worlds apart from last year. I was so proud of her. The weather was horrible, it rained until the 4th inning, and I mean POURED. She was soaked! But, the best part of it was… she got the game ball. It was the first time too, go Ashlyn! They won 22-5. I stayed in my nice warm car the whole time and had the best seat in the house, see below. We only had a few minutes to throw something together. I put pipe cleaners in Ashlyn’s hair thinking I could make Pippi Longstocking braids, but…. they fell down.. we were bummed! So we tied her braids in knots and called it good. LOL.
