Keeping Track Of Savings
Filed Under Web Updates, earnings, savings | Leave a Comment
One of my most favorite blogs to check daily is MoneySavingMethods. I love the way Carrie thinks and how organized she is with all of her savings and online earnings. I am aspiring to be just like her!
I am going to add a Savings/Earnings drop down menu to my sidebar, I figured it would benefit myself greatly but I also thought it will be fun to watch those numbers rise
It’s not exactly how I want it YET, but by tomorrow it should be. I’m tired and done fiddling with it for the night.
I had to change my blog template for the gazillionth time because one of the pay per post sites I use requires a certain tag in my HTML and it didn’t work with my butterfly one, so I had to dump it. I am so sad, I really liked it. I will just be plain jane for a bit til I find a new one!

Busy Busy!

I love the holidays. I could say this in every single post I ever write. I love Fall. I think it’s partly because it’s the kick off to some of the major holidays. It always been my favorite time of the year. I can go back into my childhood and it just seems like this was always the time of the year that my family was the closest and that comfort routine of going back to school, gearing up for Halloween, etc.
My mom always had a knack for making holidays special for my sister and I. She only had the two of us, but she put alot of time into decorating our house, helping us do holiday projects, taking us to various holiday functions, and just making it special! I just want the same for my kids. It’s a little more difficult. I’ve got 5 to create equal memories for LOL. It can be exhausting, but they do each have their own way of expressing their excitement about these things! It’s a lot of fun and I’m happy to say that even though it is exhausting it honestly is still the most bestest, coolest, awesomest time of the year and I have to thank my children for that for sharing it with me (and yes, I’ll give my supportive hubby credit too, he does do a pretty good job of putting up with my erratic behavior and spontaneous spending habits I have this time of year - which reminds me just of the position my stepdad had when I was little LOL!!)
:) I am already starting to get sad that October is approaching half over.
Totally off the subject of the rest of the post. I wanted to just talk for a moment about… Men In Trees!! It comes back on tomorrow (Friday). Yay! This was my favorite show last year. I loved it!! I was telling everyone that I wanted to move to Alaska, just because of that show. Turns out, they film in Canada LOL.
I was watching The View this morning and Anne Heche was on as a guest. Did you know…. HOLY COW… Marin (Ms. Heche) and Jack (James Tupper) are together in real life!!! I was completely shocked! I don’t keep on top of entertainment news very well apparently (though I do watch The View every day!) but they are so darn cute together on that show and I always thought I could see that chemistry coming through very well. Makes me even more excited for it to start tomorrow. I hope it works out because nothing seems to end a show quicker than a failed onscreen/off screen romance!
Kids are home tomorrow, no school for Columbus Day! Ashlyn is already at her dad’s house. And I just got word that we might possibly be working our TheLightMan.com business at a haunted house in Portland every weekend through Halloween. My post may jump from busy, busy to really super crazy busy, busy.
Take care everyone. Have a great weekend!

Missed Garbage Day :(
Filed Under Web Updates, babble | Leave a Comment
Nothing too exciting to report here today. It’s raining. First day in quite awhile. The lawn mower is sitting outside, because it ran out of gas, and that’s probably not a good thing. It’s garbage day and David forgot to take out the trash to the end of the road. We miss our Tanner “garbage boy” Clark. He’s at Great Grandma’s helping her out for a few days and loving it. So now we’ll have two extra garbage cans for next weeks pick up. Blahhh.
I put up a baby freebies page and will be adding some recipes today. Nothing exciting. I’m thinking a rain day 2pm and the girls and I need to go take a little nap. I have a special request for my lil cheddar meatloaves from David tonight, so that’s what I’m making for dinner, along with our favorite Costco mashed potatoes and fruit cocktail (since I am not dredging out in the rain to go get some fresh fruit).
Bailey and I are signing off singing “Rain rain go away come again anudder Day, Old man went to bed and couldn’t get up in da mornin”.

Kati finished her McFly page - check it out!
I added some pictures from the Starlight Parade, McKenzie’s team party, some softball/tball pictures and other misc. pictures to our photo gallery.
3 days until McKenzie Lou turns 6. I can’t believe how fast the last 6 years have gone by!
