Can you say WOW!! What a weekend..Mom and Dad took me camping and let me tell you…it was an experience that I will never forget…
First…I did get to see where my great grandpa Ben was buried…Dad seemed really happy when he told his grandpa about me…
I also got to spend the night at my Grandma Lisa’s house…when I woke up at 5 am she woke up with me and fed me…that was nice…
Then we had a super long trip in the van to this place called Sun Lakes…though I think the first day the place should of been called “Wind Lakes” it was blowing so hard…the first night in the tent it must of been blowing 90mph, I slept really good…Dad enjoyed the strong wind…but Mom was a little nervous…so I pretended to be fussy…then mom took me and put me on her stomach so I could comfort and reassure her..us babies are pretty tricky…
The next day…we went down to the lake…and I got to watch dad ride the Jet Ski…there were lots of people there to fawn over me…”Gramma Mayo” she held me alot…I heard her daughters tell my Grandma Lisa that they wanted a baby now…Something tells me that it wasn’t the right thing to say…
That night Dad took Mom and I up to this place called Grand Coulee Dam…they had something called a laser light show…the only show I saw was the sight and sounds of deep sleep.
Now comes the funny? part…after we returned to the campgrounds…about 1130 pm we went to sleep immediately…then not even two hours later it happened. FIRE!! EVACUATE!! Can someone please tell me why people were screaming right in the middle of my dreaming of this place called a shopping mall…Dad did you do this on purpose? Anyway, apparently there was a wildfire very close to where we were camping…so Dad told mom to get me and get in the van while he saved all my pretty clothes and my baby pictures…and luckily my red toy that I love so much…what a hero my dad is…
Well we left the campground and drove up on the hill to watch the fire burn and the firefighters get it under control…it wasn’t until about 430 that we were able to go back and see if our site was ok….luckily the wind blew the fire away from our site…but still…it was close…
Perhaps they should call that place..”FIRE LAKES”
Well…I think I should go now…I am really tired!!
Love you all,
Kenzie
