Oktoberfest and Other Stuff
I just updated our picture gallery with some pictures from over the weekend. Saturday was my MIL’s (mother in law) birthday and we took the kids (with the exception of Ashlyn who was at her dad’s) up to Tacoma to visit her. We were going to ride the ferry up to Seattle but the timing didn’t work out, so we went to lunch with David’s grandma and her DH, and MIL and BIL, and then took the kids to the Oktoberfest. It was alright…. we got McKenzie and Bailey’s pictures taken at one of those Old Time Photo Booths - they came out really cute. Katie and Tanner wanted no part of it… but one of these days, we will go back and have a family portrait there. Or maybe buy our own costumes and do a photo shoot ourselves. Sooo cute! We had friends over Sunday night for dinner and games. We haven’t done that in awhile and had a great time. We played Cranium, which I had forgotten how much I love that game! So, hopefully, we will do that more often. Talk about an inexpensive evening of entertainment! We made lasagna, salad and garlic breadsticks. I made my yummy carrot cake for dessert, which I added the recipe for this to my Recipe Page. Yum, Yum.
My mom came over tonight to introduce Shelby to the rest of the family. She is totally freaked out by Libby, who loves other animals but wasn’t sure how to react to this guinea pig size ball of fluff. She was excited at first but with Shelby running as fast as she could, even at one point sticking her nose in the corner of the couch trying to hide for about 5 minutes, I think Libby was a little offended LOL.
So, nothing new to report. Getting ready for Katie’s big Halloween party. Let’s hope her grades stay up to par and this thing goes off without a problem. Everyone is having fun decorating the barn and planning it, but if things go bad…. we will all be bummed.
Brooks N Dunn on Friday Baby… WOOHOOOO… should be fun!!!
