Girls Day Out With McKenzie
I took McKenzie out for the day to spend some time just the two of us…. Don’t worry Ashlyn and Bailey - yours will come!
We started out doing some sale shopping at Target. Got some GREAT deals there and then met up with Plain Grandma to go to the Ladybug Bazaar in Battle Ground.

Main reason was for Kenzie to get an idea of what she wants to do for the school bazaar coming up in a few weeks. She might have an opportunity to make some crafts to sell and keep the profits! She’s excited about that and has all kinds of ideas. She is a costly shopping buddy, those “mom, it’s only $3″ sure add up! LOL. We had fun though and it’s always fun to kick off the holidays with a Christmas bazaar. Got lots of ideas for projects for myself too
My favorite purchase was from this older gentleman. He had some hand carved wood items… one of them being these candle holders made from some type of log? I will just let you see for yourself in the pic below, but this was only $5.00! It was beauitfully glazed and the little pinecone pick slips out of a hole that could be replaced with a floral pick or something seasonal so it’s not just a Winter decoration. I really like it and wish he’d had some larger ones! I probably would have bought this no matter who was selling this but I was super impressed at the visible age of this man, how kind he was to everyone walking buy, and how his prices weren’t exorbitantly high.

Had a quick bite to eat half way through…

A few other goodies I bought were little angel ornaments for the girls that McKenzie picked out, a couple of Christmas hair ponies for Bailey, and a squeaker dog toy that is one of those things that is cute, but I bought because *everyone* else was buying them LOL. $3 each! It’s bigger than it looks in the pic, and the legs/arms are poseable. Mom bought one for her pups, Shelby, too.

Then we stopped for a quick bowl of ice cream at O’Brady’s Drive In… we were on our way to pick up dinner, but sometimes we make an exception to the dessert only *after* dinner rule. Girl’s Day Out would just have to be one of them.

Pic of our little stowaway shopping companion, turkey made a run for the van as we were leaving… so she got to ride along. She loves going bye-bye.

Quick Teriyaki dinner picked up on our way home and that was the end of our day

She’s now at a football game with daddy - quite a busy day for my sweets… Miss McKenzie…. love you sissa!
